Haunting Thoughts

>Will I ever be enough for anybody? No, I’m not playing at being at a sacrificial lamb indulging in a bout of self-pity. Rather I’m wondering what it is about us, what part of who we are, assures us that we are; well, not exactly good enough for others, but rather, “just enough”. Is ut not selfishness to believe that who we are is enough for others to love us? Or, is it? We live in a culture of self-gratification surrounded by slogans assuring us that we are worth it, that we deserve to be lavished by all that is sparkly and new, but are we really enough, are we sufficient for all those significant others?

And yet we have to believe that we are enough. To maintain sanity, to live among others, we believe that our individualty brings enough to foster our relationships.
